ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Yoram Youngerman is a resident of Chapel Hill who teaches viola at ECU and UNC Chapel Hill. He has performed in major cities worldwide and collaborated with some of the finest string quartets, including the Tokyo, Ying and Ciompi. His colleague at ECU, cellist Emanuel Gruber, was the founder of the Tel Aviv Chamber Music Society and principal cellist of the Israel Chamber Orchestra. Violinist Ariel Shamai has soloed with the Israel Philharmonic and with many other of the world's leading orchestras as well as collaborating with prominent chamber music artists. Erez Ofer, violinist, is also an active soloist and chamber musician and is currently concertmaster of the Berlin Radio Orchestra. Pianist Alon Goldstein was a student of Leon Fleisher at the Peabody Conservatory. He has played solo and orchestra concerts worldwide.
