PROGRAM
Kevin Lawrence is Professor of Violin at the North Carolina School of the Arts. A graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, where he studied with Ivan Galamian, his performances throughout the world have drawn critical acclaim for their refinement and passionate interpretations. His recordings of music by Arthur Foote, Daniel Mason and other American composers are published by New World Records.
Peter Kairoff is Professor of Music at Wake Forest University. A native of Los Angeles, he received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California, and studied for two years in Italy as a Fulbright Scholar. His recitals in the United States, Europe and South America have been noted for their "meticulous accuracy and profound expression." His recordings of piano music by American composers Horatio Parker and George Chadwick are published by Albany Records.
Lawrence and Kairoff recently performed together in Prague, Sofia and Bucharest, and gave a special recital at the U.S. Embassy in Rome for the Ambassador, the Italian Foreign minister and other dignitaries.
